Start with traceable source values
A reliable billing document begins with evidence, not a formatted total. Extract receipt or invoice data into fields, but keep the original image or text nearby so the supplier, date, line items, currency, and amount can be checked. When a value uses mixed commas, periods, or spaces, normalize the notation before doing any tax arithmetic.
Make the tax choice explicit
Sales tax and VAT are different calculation paths. Record whether tax is added to a net amount or extracted from a tax-inclusive amount, and verify the currency code, VAT number, and payment details that will appear on the final document. These tools check calculations and formats; they do not determine the legal rate or filing obligation.
Deliver a document that reconciles
Generate a PDF invoice, payment receipt, or editable XLSX workbook only after the values are reviewed. Reconcile each line, subtotal, tax amount, grand total, recipient, and payment instruction with the approved source data. Save that comparison with the delivered document so a later accounting or customer question can be answered from the record.
