Are my FBX files uploaded?

No. Models you open from your device stay on your device and are rendered locally with WebGL. Only the public sample model is requested from the server.

Does it support FBX animations and rigging?

The viewer focuses on rendering the 3D geometry and hierarchy. Full skeletal animation playback support depends on the model's structure and the browser's capabilities.

About this file format

FBX (.fbx, Filmbox), originally created by Kaydara in 1996 and acquired by Autodesk in 2006, is one of the most widely used 3D interchange formats in the entertainment industry. It stores geometry, materials, textures, skeletal bones, skinning, morph targets, keyframe animation, cameras and lighting in a single binary or ASCII file. FBX is the standard format for exchanging rigged characters and animated scenes between Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, Unity and Unreal Engine.
