It also keeps heat-exchanger and insulation-related calculations close by, so a preliminary design can move from air conditions to equipment checks without jumping across unrelated calculators.
Start with the cooling-load or heating-load calculator. Add air changes, ventilation rate, and psychrometric properties when infiltration, outdoor air, humidity, or latent load matters.
Use the volumetric flow converter to normalize units, then use air changes or ventilation rate to establish the required airflow. The duct-size calculator converts that airflow and a design velocity into circular or rectangular duct dimensions.
They are useful for estimates, learning, and engineering checks, but they do not replace a code-compliant design, manufacturer data, site survey, or review by a qualified HVAC professional.
COP is a dimensionless instantaneous performance ratio, EER expresses cooling efficiency in Btu per watt-hour, and SEER is a seasonal efficiency metric. Use the converter to compare them with an explicit seasonal weighting assumption.
