Keep measurement conversion separate from number formatting
This workflow is for values that carry units: meters, pounds, liters, pascals, joules, degrees, seconds, and similar quantities. That makes it different from a general math conversion page for bases, fractions, roman numerals, or scientific notation.
Convert by dimension, not by search habit
Start with the dimension you actually measured. Use length-unit-converter, weight-unit-converter, area-converter, and volume-converter for everyday size and quantity work. Move to temperature-unit-converter, speed-converter, and time-converter when the value describes weather, motion, schedules, or pacing.
For technical notes, normalize pressure-converter, force-converter, energy-converter, and density-converter outputs before the value enters another formula. Use angle-converter when trigonometry, mapping, rotation, or astronomy work requires a different angular unit.
Finish with a reusable result
A good conversion record includes the original value, original unit, target unit, converted result, and rounding policy. That small amount of context prevents the most common unit mistakes when the number is copied into reports, spreadsheets, code, lab notes, or equipment instructions.
