1. Air-conditioning coil heat split from air states
HVAC engineerBackground
An HVAC engineer has entering and leaving air conditions and a dry-air mass flow rate for a cooling coil.
Problem
Separate the coil load into total, sensible, and latent cooling capacity and determine SHR.
How to use
Select Full air-state split, enter T1 = 26 °C, W1 = 10.5 g/kg, T2 = 13 °C, W2 = 8.8 g/kg, and ṁ_da = 0.5 kg/s. Use kW for capacity and set the desired decimal places.
{"mode":"state","t1":26,"w1":10.5,"t2":13,"w2":8.8,"humidityUnit":"g/kg","mda":0.5,"flowUnit":"kg/s","capacityUnit":"kW","decimalPlaces":4}Outcome
The calculation gives approximately Qt = 8.81 kW, Qs = 6.66 kW, Ql = 2.16 kW, and SHR = 0.755.
