XYZ (.xyz) is a plain-text point cloud format where each line contains the X, Y and Z coordinates of a single 3D point, separated by spaces. It is the simplest possible 3D format, used as a universal interchange format for point clouds from scanners, surveys and scientific instruments.

Are my XYZ files uploaded?

No. Files you open from your device stay on your device and are rendered locally with WebGL. Only the public sample is requested from the server.

Does XYZ support color?

Some XYZ files include RGB color values after the coordinates (X Y Z R G B). The viewer focuses on rendering point positions; color support depends on the file format variant.
