Word Unscrambler

Unscramble a jumble of letters into every valid English word that can be made from them — the classic Scrabble / Words With Friends helper, and a solver for anagram puzzles.

How it works:

• Type your letters (order doesn't matter; tcean works the same as neact).
• The solver finds every dictionary word that can be spelled using some or all of those letters, respecting letter counts (you can't reuse a letter more times than you have).
• Results are grouped by word length so the high-scoring long words jump out.

Filters:

• Min length / Max length — restrict the word lengths returned. Handy when you only care about 7-letter words for a bonus, or 3+ letter words to fill a board.
• Sort — by length (shortest first, the default) or alphabetical.

Good to know:

• The bundled dictionary is a comprehensive English word list of 274,937 words (from the Letterpress word list). It covers common words and their forms very thoroughly — strong enough for serious Scrabble and anagram solving.
• Up to 15 letters can be entered at once. The solver enumerates every subset of your letters, so extremely long inputs are capped to keep response times snappy (a 10-letter solve still finishes in well under a millisecond).
• Repeated letters are respected: aa from aardvark-style input is handled correctly because each letter is only "spent" as many times as it appears.
• Results are deduplicated, so anagrams of the same letters are listed separately (e.g. from listen you get both listen and silent).
