TTF (.ttf, TrueType Font) is a font file format developed by Apple in 1991. It stores font outlines as quadratic Bezier curves along with glyph mappings, metrics, hinting instructions and metadata. TTF is supported by virtually every operating system and web browser.

Are my TTF files uploaded?

No. Font files you open from your device stay on your device and are rendered locally with @font-face. Only the public sample font is requested from the server.

What is the difference between TTF and OTF?

TTF uses quadratic Bezier curves and was developed by Apple. OTF (OpenType) is a newer format that can use either quadratic or cubic curves, supports more advanced typographic features (ligatures, alternates, small caps) and has better Unicode support. OTF is the modern successor to TTF.
