What is an XMind file?

XMind (.xmind) is a ZIP-based file format for mind maps created by XMind, one of the most popular mind mapping applications. It stores topics, subtopics, relationships, markers, notes and visual styling in a structured JSON format inside a ZIP container.

Are my XMind files uploaded?

No. Mind maps you open from your device stay on your device and are rendered locally. Only the public sample is requested from the server.
