Are my DXF files uploaded?

No. Drawings you open from your device stay on your device and are parsed locally. Only the public sample drawing is requested from the server.

What is the difference between DXF and DWG?

DXF is the open, text-based interchange format designed for compatibility between CAD programs. DWG is AutoCAD's native binary format — more compact but proprietary. DXF is the standard for cross-application CAD data exchange.

About this file format

DXF (.dxf, Drawing Interchange Format), introduced by Autodesk in 1982, is the open representation of AutoCAD drawing data. Unlike the proprietary binary DWG format, DXF stores drawing entities (lines, arcs, text, dimensions) as tagged ASCII or binary data, making it the de facto standard for exchanging CAD drawings between different software. It is widely used in architecture, engineering, manufacturing, laser cutting and CNC machining.
