Does it support all AutoCAD versions?

DWG has evolved across many versions (R14, 2000, 2018, etc.). The viewer handles common DWG versions for in-browser preview; very old or newest-version-specific features may render with limitations.

Are my DWG files uploaded?

No. Drawings you open from your device stay on your device and are parsed locally. Only the public sample drawing is requested from the server.

Can it edit DWG files?

No, this is a viewer only. It renders the drawing for inspection without uploading; use dedicated CAD software for editing.

About this file format

DWG (.dwg, DraWinG) is the native binary file format for AutoCAD, developed by Autodesk since 1982. It stores 2D and 3D design data — geometry, layers, blocks, text and metadata — and is the industry standard for CAD drawings in architecture, engineering and manufacturing. DWG is a proprietary format, with Open Design Alliance providing compatible implementations widely used across CAD software.
