Background

A producer is editing a remote interview where the guest recorded their audio on a cheap USB microphone, resulting in a much quieter track than the host's studio setup.

Problem

The guest's track is too quiet, and manually adjusting the volume envelope across a 45-minute episode is tedious.

How to use

Upload the host track as Track A and the guest track as Track B. Set the Match Mode to "Track B → match Track A" and choose "High" dynamics preservation to keep the host's level intact while naturally boosting the guest.

Outcome

The guest's track is boosted to match the host's loudness level perfectly, maintaining natural speech dynamics without sounding over-compressed.

Background

An editor needs to prepare two separate dialogue tracks for final mastering to meet the standard -16 LUFS target for stereo distribution.
