1. Balancing a Remote Podcast Interview
Podcast ProducerBackground
A producer is editing a remote interview where the guest recorded their audio on a cheap USB microphone, resulting in a much quieter track than the host's studio setup.
Problem
The guest's track is too quiet, and manually adjusting the volume envelope across a 45-minute episode is tedious.
How to use
Upload the host track as Track A and the guest track as Track B. Set the Match Mode to "Track B → match Track A" and choose "High" dynamics preservation to keep the host's level intact while naturally boosting the guest.
Track A: host.wav, Track B: guest.wav, Match Mode: b-to-a, Dynamics Preservation: high, Output Format: wavOutcome
The guest's track is boosted to match the host's loudness level perfectly, maintaining natural speech dynamics without sounding over-compressed.
