PlantUML (.plantuml, .puml) is a text-based diagramming format that uses simple syntax to generate UML diagrams — sequence, use case, class, activity, component, state and deployment diagrams. It is widely used in software documentation.

Are my PlantUML files uploaded?

The diagram text stays on your device. Without a configured PlantUML server, the viewer shows a placeholder. For full rendering, a PlantUML server URL must be configured in options.

PlantUML (.plantuml, .puml), created by Arnaud Roques in 2009, is a text-based UML diagramming tool. It uses a simple DSL syntax to describe diagrams as text, then renders them to images. PlantUML supports all major UML diagram types plus Gantt charts, mind maps and wireframes. It is integrated into many IDEs, wikis and documentation systems.
