MBOX (.mbox) is a plain-text format for storing multiple email messages in a single file. Each message starts with a 'From ' line followed by the full email (headers and body). MBOX is used by Thunderbird, Apple Mail, Google Takeout, POSIX mail and many email archiving tools.

### Are my MBOX files uploaded?

No. Mailboxes you open from your device stay on your device and are parsed locally. Only the public sample mailbox is requested from the server.

### How many emails can an MBOX file contain?
