### What is an AI file?

AI (.ai, Adobe Illustrator Artwork) is Adobe Illustrator's native vector graphics format. Modern AI files (since Illustrator CS) are based on PDF with an embedded PGF (Progressive Graphics Format) stream, storing paths, shapes, gradients, text, patterns and effects.

### Are my AI files uploaded?

No. Files you open from your device stay on your device and are parsed locally. Nothing is sent to the server.

### Can the viewer render all AI features?

The viewer focuses on rendering the embedded PDF preview stream, which contains the flattened visual output. Complex Illustrator-specific features (live effects, symbols, brushes) may not be fully represented in the preview.
