### What is an LHA file?

LHA (.lha, .lzh) is an archive format created by Haruyasu Yoshizaki in 1988 (originally LHarc). It was popular on Amiga, in Japan, and in early shareware distribution. It uses LZSS-based compression methods like -lh1- through -lh7-.

### What is the difference between .lha and .lzh?
