## Overview

Render one public page in Chromium without AI. Choose desktop (1440 × 1000) or mobile (390 × 844), light or dark preference, and an extra wait of 0–3000 ms. ZIP includes design.md, screenshot.png, tokens.json and tokens.css; Markdown embeds the PNG for a self-contained document.

The screenshot covers the fixed viewport. Style observations sample up to 1000 visible rendered elements in a scan of at most 2000 DOM elements, including below-fold elements; there is no automatic scrolling. Colors, CSS font stacks, spacing, borders, radii, shadows, components and readable custom properties are observations, not the original design system. Font stacks do not prove which font actually rendered. Frequency counts describe sampled CSS declarations, not painted area, brand roles or accessibility compliance.

Only public HTTP on port 80 and HTTPS on port 443 are allowed, without URL credentials. Capture is capped at 40 seconds, 30 MiB of network traffic and 200 requests, with an 8 MiB limit per HTML document; blocked resources or sampling limits can reduce coverage. The capture sandbox disables popups, form submissions, downloads, WebSocket connections and background workers; content depending on these features may differ from a normal browser. No login, cookie acceptance, CAPTCHA solving, clicking or cross-origin frame inspection. Use the built-in demo for a real offline Chromium extraction with all networking blocked.

## Inputs

- **Source** (select)
- **Website URL** (text)
- **Viewport** (select)
- **Color scheme** (select)
- **Output format** (select)
- **Extra wait (ms)** (number)

## When to use

- Auditing an existing marketing page or web application to inventory observed CSS styles, colors, and typography.
- Exporting a snapshot of CSS variables, font stacks, and component styles into reusable JSON or CSS token files.
- Inspecting how an interface adapts styling across light versus dark mode preferences or desktop versus mobile viewports.

## How it works

- Load a public HTTP/HTTPS URL or select the built-in offline demo page within an isolated Chromium sandbox.
- Select the target viewport dimensions (Desktop 1440 × 1000 or Mobile 390 × 844), preferred color scheme, and an optional settling delay between 0 and 3000 ms.
- The tool scans up to 2,000 DOM nodes, sampling up to 1,000 visible elements to record observed CSS declarations including font stacks, margins, borders, radii, and custom properties.
- Download the compiled styles either as a structured ZIP bundle (containing tokens.json, tokens.css, design.md, and screenshot.png) or as a self-contained Markdown report with embedded screenshot.

## Use cases

- Frontend developers creating tokens.json or tokens.css files matching an existing production landing page.
- UI/UX designers archiving the visual styles, color distributions, and font stacks of competitor layouts.
- Design systems teams performing consistency reviews on declared spacings, border radii, and dark mode adaptations.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does this tool use AI to generate or guess the design system?

No. The tool renders the page in a real Chromium browser and samples direct computed CSS values and custom properties without AI inference.

### What is included in the ZIP export?

The ZIP archive contains design.md, a viewport screenshot.png, design tokens in tokens.json, and variables formatted in tokens.css.

### Can I capture authenticated dashboards or pages behind logins?

No. The capture sandbox does not support logins, cookie acceptance, CAPTCHA solving, form submissions, or session credentials.

### Does the extractor scroll down to screenshot the entire webpage?

No. The screenshot captures only the fixed viewport (desktop 1440 × 1000 or mobile 390 × 844), though style sampling inspects elements below the fold.

### What network limits apply to the extraction?

Captures are limited to port 80/443, a 40-second timeout, 30 MiB total network traffic, 200 HTTP requests, and an 8 MiB maximum HTML document size.
