## Overview

Review public BTC / Ethereum incident evidence, source coverage and token blacklist signals without connecting a wallet.

Live mode downloads the full OFAC list without sending it the address being checked. The public address is shared with fixed GoPlus, Ethereum RPC and Blockscout providers, and Chainabuse only when configured. Provider operators may log requests and IP addresses. Do not enter keys, seed phrases or other secrets.

Demo mode is offline and entirely synthetic. Its labels, transactions and results are fictional examples, not allegations or current sanctions decisions.

Optional tracing reviews at most 20 recent native ETH transfers and 4 first-hop counterparties. It does not cover token transfers, multiple hops, bridge paths or exchange clusters. Bitcoin supports direct checks only; first-hop tracing is unsupported.

A USDC or USDT blacklist result applies only to that contract at the displayed block. It is not a wallet-wide freeze, asset balance check or guarantee that funds can be moved.

Official lists and public incident records are not exhaustive. Missing, delayed or unavailable sources remain visible. Victim roles are informational and must not be treated as attacker evidence. A no-hit result is not a safety certificate.

Curated historical incident coverage is limited to 51 Ethereum indicators from one FBI Bybit advisory dated 2025-02-26, verified 2026-10-31; not a live or comprehensive incident feed or current sanctions decision.

Heuristic attention priority, not a crime probability. No known match does not mean safe.

95 official current sanctions / verified attacker; 90 confirmed token blacklist; 75 malicious provider label or official historical incident indicator; 55 public abuse allegation; 35 service label / bounded first-hop association. Priority is the maximum signal, not a probability. Victim-only evidence is informational; no hit has no score.

Read-only rules and public evidence; no AI inference, wallet connection, signing, private keys, recovery service or legal certification.

## Inputs

- **Public address** (text): 0x… / bc1… / 1… / 3…
- **Blockchain** (select)
- **Data mode** (select)
- **Bounded first-hop review** (select)
- **Report language** (select)

## When to use

- Screening an unfamiliar Bitcoin or Ethereum address prior to interacting or settling off-chain deals.
- Auditing whether an Ethereum recipient address is subject to contract-level freezes on USDC or USDT.
- Assessing public abuse flags or historical exploit ties while preserving privacy without connecting a wallet.

## How it works

- Enter a public Bitcoin or Ethereum address and select live public data feeds or offline synthetic demo mode.
- Optionally enable bounded first-hop review on Ethereum to inspect up to 20 recent native transfers and 4 direct counterparties.
- The tool cross-checks the address against local OFAC records, stablecoin freeze functions, provider labels, and FBI advisory indicators.
- Review a heuristic attention priority score alongside a transparent source coverage ledger highlighting matches, delays, and provider states.

## Use cases

- Counterparty risk screening: Auditing public addresses against official sanctions lists and abuse registries before transacting.
- Token liquidity verification: Verifying that target addresses are not blacklisted on native USDC or USDT contracts prior to settlement.
- Exploit proximity analysis: Checking whether an Ethereum address has transacted directly with documented exploit or advisory indicators.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does this tool require connecting a crypto wallet or signing messages?

No. The tool is strictly read-only and never asks for wallet connections, cryptographic signatures, or private keys.

### Does a zero-match result certify that an address is safe?

No. Official registries and public incident databases are not exhaustive, so the absence of a hit is not a safety certification.

### How do token blacklist checks work for USDT and USDC?

The tool queries freeze functions directly on the USDC or USDT smart contracts at the current block, applying solely to that token.

### Can Bitcoin addresses use first-hop counterparty tracing?

No. Bounded first-hop tracing evaluates native ETH transfers only and is unsupported for Bitcoin mainnet addresses.

### What does the attention priority score indicate?

It represents a heuristic triage priority based on the single highest matched signal (up to 95), not a statistical probability of crime.
