## Overview

Use two already-separated files for the most predictable result, or provide a full mix and let the local HT-Demucs vocal separator derive vocal and accompaniment stems. The default target is vocals 3 dB above the instrumental LUFS. Gain is capped at ±12 dB, clipping is guarded, and optional final LUFS normalization is reported separately.

## Inputs

- **Audio File (full mix)** (file): Use in Full mix mode
- **Vocal Stem** (file): Use in Separate stems mode
- **Instrumental Stem** (file): Use in Separate stems mode
- **Source Mode** (select)
- **Vocal Offset (dB)** (number): 3
- **Normalize Final Loudness** (checkbox)
- **Target LUFS** (number): -16
- **Output Format** (select)

## When to use

- Balance a vocal stem against an instrumental track before publishing or mixing.
- Adjust a full mix when separate vocal and instrumental files are unavailable.
- Create an MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, or OGG output with optional final LUFS normalization.

## How it works

- Upload separate vocal and instrumental audio files, or choose Full mix mode with one complete mix.
- The tool measures the relative loudness of the vocal and instrumental material.
- Set the desired vocal offset, with a range from -6 dB to +12 dB; the default is +3 dB.
- Optionally normalize the final loudness to a target between -30 and -5 LUFS, then export the selected format.

## Use cases

- Prepare karaoke or backing-track mixes with a clearly audible vocal.
- Correct inconsistent vocal levels in demos, song mixes, and rehearsal recordings.
- Check vocal-to-instrumental loudness before delivering an audio file.

## Frequently asked questions

### What audio inputs can I use?

You can upload separate vocal and instrumental audio files, or provide one full mix in Full mix mode.

### What is the default vocal balance?

The default target places the vocal 3 dB above the instrumental LUFS.

### Can the tool separate vocals from a full mix?

Yes. In Full mix mode, local HT-Demucs derives estimated vocal and accompaniment stems.

### Is final loudness normalization required?

No. It is optional and can target a LUFS value from -30 to -5.

### Which output formats are available?

You can export MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A (AAC), or OGG Vorbis.
