## Overview

Takes a mono or stereo vocal and synthesizes the classic Artificial Double Tracking (ADT) effect invented at Abbey Road: a slightly delayed (10–40 ms), slightly detuned (±5–25 cents), stereo-spread copy of the performance that the ear fuses with the lead into one thickened, wider take. The tool splits the input, applies a pitch-shifted delayed copy (or a 3-voice left/center/right stack) panned for a wide image, then mixes with the dry lead. Pitch shifting uses FFmpeg's rubberband filter with formant preservation when available, falling back to the asetrate resample trick. Output is always stereo. Optional loudness normalization to streaming levels.

## Inputs

- **Vocal audio** (file)
- **Doubling style** (select)
- **Delay (ms)** (number)
- **Pitch drift (cents)** (number)
- **Wet level (%)** (number)
- **Normalize loudness** (checkbox)
- **Output format** (select)

## When to use

- Add width and thickness to a lead vocal without recording a second take.
- Create a classic artificial double-tracking effect with controlled delay and pitch drift.
- Build a pronounced stereo vocal stack for choruses, hooks, or layered parts.

## How it works

- Upload a mono or stereo vocal audio file.
- Choose a doubling style: subtle, classic, wide, or thick.
- Adjust delay from 5–45 ms, pitch drift from 0–50 cents, and wet level from 0–100% when needed.
- Optionally normalize loudness, then export the stereo result as MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, or OGG Vorbis.

## Use cases

- Thicken a lead vocal for pop, rock, and electronic productions.
- Add a classic ADT character to a vocal without manually editing a second performance.
- Create a wide left-center-right vocal stack for choruses and featured hooks.
