## Overview

Audio Resample changes an audio file’s sample rate to a selected value from 8 kHz to 48 kHz, with optional channel selection and metadata preservation.

## Inputs

- **Audio File** (file): Select an audio file
- **Target Sample Rate** (select)
- **Audio Channels** (select)
- **Keep Metadata** (checkbox)

## When to use

- Prepare audio recorded at 44.1 kHz for a workflow that requires 22.05 kHz or another supported rate.
- Convert stereo audio to mono for voice recordings or other single-channel uses.
- Standardize sample rates across audio files before adding them to a project.

## How it works

- Upload one supported audio file, such as MP3, AAC, M4A, OGG, Opus, FLAC, or WAV.
- Choose a target sample rate from 8, 12, 16, 22.05, 32, 44.1, or 48 kHz.
- Choose Auto to keep the original channel layout, or select mono or stereo.
- Enable or disable Keep Metadata, then create the resampled audio file.

## Use cases

- Adapt recorded speech to a lower sample rate for voice-focused workflows.
- Convert stereo recordings to mono when a single audio channel is required.
- Align audio sample rates across recordings before using them together.
