## Overview

The "does it translate?" reality check every mix needs before release. Your stereo mix is rendered through seven bounded FFmpeg chains that imitate real consumer playback: a mono phone speaker (400 Hz–8 kHz bandpass with a presence lift and light compression), mono laptop speakers (200 Hz–10 kHz), consumer earbuds (weak deep bass, boosted presence), a bass-boosted car stereo, a big club/PA system, a straight mono fold, and a noisy street (mono, band-limited, with seeded pink noise mixed at your chosen SNR). Every render is then measured — integrated LUFS, wide-band energies (sub, low, mid, presence, high) — and compared against the original mix, so the report shows exactly how much low end the phone speaker throws away and whether the presence band that carries the vocal still cuts through. The mono renders double as a phase check: the tool measures stereo correlation and the mono-fold energy loss of the source, including the worst 100 ms block, to flag elements that vanish when channels sum. You get a ZIP with every simulation render plus analysis.json and a README.

## Inputs

- **Mix file** (file)
- **Simulation set** (select)
- **Street noise level (SNR dB)** (number)
- **Render format** (select)

## When to use

- Before releasing a track or sending a final mixdown to mastering to verify consistent spectral balance across consumer devices.
- When troubleshooting mono compatibility to identify phase cancellation and elements that disappear when stereo channels are summed.
- When evaluating vocal intelligibility and mid-range clarity against noisy environments and narrow-band playback systems.

## How it works

- Upload your stereo mix file and choose the target simulation set (all systems, portable devices, or loud playback environments).
- Configure custom simulation parameters, including the noisy street signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the desired export audio format.
- The tool renders the mix through bounded FFmpeg DSP chains modeling specific speaker bandwidths, compression, and acoustic profiles.
- Download the generated ZIP archive containing all audio simulation renders, an analysis.json metrics report with LUFS and frequency band measurements, and a summary README.

## Use cases

- Music producers checking whether kick drums, basslines, and lead vocals maintain balance on smartphone and laptop speakers.
- Mastering engineers verifying mono phase coherence and headroom under club PA and bass-boosted car stereo acoustics.
- Podcast and audio content creators auditing spoken-word clarity against background ambient noise simulations.

## Frequently asked questions

### What audio formats can I export from the simulations?

You can export the rendered simulations as WAV, MP3, FLAC, M4A, or OGG Vorbis files.

### How does the tool evaluate mono phase compatibility?

It measures overall stereo correlation and calculates mono-fold energy loss, including the worst 100 ms window, to flag phase-canceling elements.

### What frequency bands are measured in the report?

The analysis report measures integrated LUFS and wide-band energy levels across sub, low, mid, presence, and high frequency ranges.

### What playback systems are included in the portable preset?

The portable set includes mono phone speaker, consumer earbuds, mono laptop speakers, and a straight mono fold.

### Is there a file size limit for mix uploads?

Yes, audio mix files up to 100 MB are supported per run.
