## Overview

A structure-analysis cue finder that follows the published DJ-switch-point method: beat-synchronous energy/bass/brightness/chroma/onset features build per-feature self-similarity matrices, a Gaussian checkerboard kernel (Foote) produces novelty curves, peaks above 0.3x of each feature max are snapped to the 4-bar period grid (phase by max RMS novelty), then filtered by salience (the 4 bars after a cue must carry real energy). Semantic rules label the mix-in (first energetic grid point), the drop (bass jumps in after a quiet build), the breakdown (bass falls away while harmony continues), and the mix-out (last energetic point in the tail). The ZIP contains collection.nml (Traktor), rekordbox.xml, cue_points.cue (CDRWIN 75 fps), CSV, JSON, and an import README. Cues are a starting point — always audition them before a gig.

## Inputs

- **Music track** (file)
- **Sensitivity** (select)
- **Max cue points** (number)

## When to use

- Preparing new electronic music tracks for performance without manually setting every hot cue.
- Migrating cue point data across DJ platforms using standard XML, NML, and CUE formats.
- Quickly identifying drops and phrase boundaries across unfamiliar promo tracks or library additions.

## How it works

- Upload an audio file and select the detection sensitivity and maximum cue limit.
- The tool computes beat-synchronized energy, bass, brightness, chroma, and onset novelty curves, snapping structural peaks to a 4-bar grid.
- Semantic rules classify the detected transitions into mix-in, drop, breakdown, and mix-out points.
- Download a ZIP archive containing collection.nml, rekordbox.xml, cue_points.cue, CSV, JSON, and an import guide.

## Use cases

- Batch-prepping club tracks with standardized 4-bar phrase markers for smoother mixing.
- Generating CDRWIN-compliant 75 fps cue sheets to burn mixed audio CDs with precise track markers.
- Exporting structured cue datasets in CSV and JSON for DJ set management and library scripts.

## Frequently asked questions

### What formats are included in the downloaded archive?

The ZIP package includes collection.nml for Traktor, rekordbox.xml, cue_points.cue for CDRWIN/burners, CSV, JSON, and an import README.

### How are cue points aligned to the music?

Detected structural novelties are aligned and snapped to a 4-bar grid based on peak RMS novelty and energy salience.

### What semantic cue types does the detector identify?

It identifies the mix-in (initial energy entry), drop (bass surge after a build), breakdown (bass withdrawal with ongoing harmony), and mix-out points.

### What is the maximum audio file size supported?

You can upload audio files up to 100 MB.

### Should I verify the cues before performing live?

Yes, automated cue points serve as a structural starting point and should always be auditioned prior to a live gig.
