# Album Loudness Matcher

Match a batch of tracks to one target loudness the way album gain works: one gain for the whole record keeps intentional inter-track dynamics, hybrid mode only tames outliers, per-track mode flattens everything.

## Overview

Upload the tracks (files or one ZIP, up to 20). Every track is measured with the EBU R128 chain (integrated LUFS, true peak), and the album loudness is summed with the R128 segment formula — the same energy-weighted math ReplayGain album gain uses, so a 40-second interlude does not get crushed to match a 5-minute anthem. Album mode then applies ONE gain (target − album loudness) to every track: the quiet ballad stays quieter than the loud single, exactly as mastered, which is how loudness normalization on streaming platforms treats an album anyway. Hybrid mode keeps every inter-track difference inside a tolerance band you set (default 2 LU) and only pulls outliers back toward the band — quiet intro and loud finale survive, the one misdelivered -8 LUFS demo gets tamed. Per-track mode normalizes each file to the same loudness for playlists and sync libraries. True-peak safety is always on: if the planned gain would push a track past your dBTP ceiling (default -1), album mode lowers the whole album’s gain to keep the record coherent, while the other modes trim that track or — with the limiter switch — run a true-peak limiter stage instead (attack 5 ms, release 50 ms, level disabled). Renders are lossless (WAV/FLAC), every output is re-measured so the report shows measured-after values, and everything lands in a ZIP with a per-track CSV gain sheet.

## Inputs

- **Track files or ZIP** (file)
- **Target** (select)
- **Matching mode** (select)
- **Hybrid tolerance (LU)** (number)
- **Custom target (LUFS)** (number)
- **True-peak ceiling (dBTP)** (number)
- **Limit instead of gain-trim** (checkbox): When a track would exceed the true-peak ceiling, insert a limiter stage instead of trimming its gain (album mode always trims the whole album).
- **Output Format** (select)

## When to use

- Use it when you need to convert audio files content quickly in the browser.
- Helpful for media workflows that need repeatable inputs and fast results.
- A good fit when you want to test with real files before running the same workflow in code or API calls.

## How it works

- Provide Track files or ZIP, Target, Matching mode, Hybrid tolerance (LU) as input to the tool.
- The tool processes the request and returns a file result.
- For file workflows, start with representative samples such as audio files test files to verify edge cases and output quality.

## Use cases

- Convert audio files data during debugging or QA.
- Validate expected output before using the API or automation flows.
- Test the workflow with representative sample files and edge cases.
