### Is the exported PNG an indexed image or a PS1 TIM file?

No. It is an opaque RGBA8 PNG with limited colors. Palette JSON contains palette/index information, not a ready-to-use TIM or CLUT binary.

### Does the wobbly preview alter the texture?

No. Affine UV distortion and vertex snapping are render-only. Preview screenshots are separate evidence, not the texture asset.

### Will transparent edges and animation survive?

No. Alpha is flattened onto the chosen background before quantization; animated PNG/WebP contributes its first frame only. Preserve originals and use another workflow if those properties are required.

### Does a small palette guarantee a small file or engine compatibility?

No. The PNG is RGBA8 rather than indexed, and compression depends on the pixels. The engine's import, filtering, color handling and hardware requirements need separate checks.
