## Frequently asked questions

### Does generating the short link publish it?

No. The builder creates a URL and configuration snippets without registering or hosting the redirect. The domain owner must review and deploy the mapping, HTTPS and route.

### Is the automatic slug guaranteed unique?

No. The deterministic 32-bit hash can collide and custom slugs can conflict. Check the existing mapping register and use an approved unused slug; the tool does not reserve names.

### Why can a readable QR still fail approval?

Image decoding does not test print size, reflections, damaged margins, device behavior, live redirects or the landing page. Test the final material and route, not just the generated PNG.

### Do valid UTM fields prove analytics attribution?

No. Consent state, tagging configuration, redirects and platform behavior can affect collection. Record actual test evidence or mark receipt unverified; URL and CSV checks cannot certify it.
