## Frequently asked questions

### Does the impulse-response tool measure a room?

No. It creates excitation and, for a logarithmic measurement sweep, an inverse analysis filter. Recording the actual output, alignment and response recovery are separate tasks.

### Does a noise seed make both stereo channels identical?

No. The implementation derives different channel streams from the seed. Reusing the same seed and settings reproduces a case, not identical left and right noise.

### Why is the duration different from the entered duration?

Ordinary signals round active duration to a whole frame count. Excitation adds lead/tail silence; MLS uses complete periods, and a single impulse has just one active frame.

### Can a phase display or clean image approve the fixture completely?

No. It provides a limited observation under the selected playback and analysis conditions. Exact sample, RMS, timing or device-response requirements need dedicated numeric or measurement checks.
